Fresh Fruit Pizza
Okay, you have probably seen this recipe somewhere before, but just in case you've missed it here it is! Fruit pizza is a simple and delicious dessert to make all summer long (I actually like it all year long!). It all starts with a sugar cookie crust, then a sweet cream cheese layer, and topped with any mix of fresh fruit. It is so easy to make and usually disappears fast!
I learned from a friend to make the crust in a tart pan, which bakes it perfectly and then you pop the tart pan off and the crust looks so nice and even. I also only used strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries to keep it patriotic colors, but use any mix of fruit that you prefer!
Follow along for step by step instructions and there is a printable recipe at the bottom.
How to make fruit pizza...
Press dough into pan...
I typically use store bought sugar cookie dough. It is easy and less clean up! Also a tart pan is so great for making the crust look fancy.
Make sure to press into edges and it is spread out evenly. You can use a small roller to smooth it out.
Bake until edges are brown...
Bake at temperature on cookie dough package, probably around 350-375 degrees.
Only about 10-12 minutes or until the dough is baked and the edges are brown.
Do not over bake or you will have a tough crust.
Make cream cheese mixture...
Cream together a softened block of cream cheese, vanilla extract, and sugar.
Spread cream cheese on top of crust...
Place fruit on top of cream cheese...
Use any mix of fruit you like and arrange in any way you like.
Refrigerate until ready to serve!
When ready pop off the tart pan, place on cutting board or serving plate, cut and enjoy!
